Healthcare Provider & Professional (BLS) CPR/AED

As an EMT, firefighter, athletic trainer or lifeguard, it is your duty to respond to cardiac or breathing emergencies until more advanced medical personnel can take over. From assessing needs and making decisions to providing care, this program provides the skills you need through discussion, video and hands-on training based on real-life rescue scenarios. Course covers care for adults, children and infants.


Topics Include:

    • Primary assessment
    • CPR (one- and two-rescuer)
    • Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
    • Positive Pressure Ventilation by way of breathing barriers bag-valve-masks (BVMs)
    • Choking (conscious and unconscious)

Optional Topics:
    • Supplemental oxygen use  ($35 extra)
    • Epinephrine auto-injectors and asthma inhaler training  ($15 extra)

Course Length:
6 - 7 hours
Course Tuition:
$110 per person  (additional modules are extra)
Certification:
CPR/AED for the Healthcare Provider & Professional Rescuer   (valid 2 years)
An American Red Cross certificate is earned upon successful completion of the course.
Prerequisites:
Participants must be at least 16 years of age.
