Standard First Aid

This course teaches participants how to provide care for injuries at home, work, school, or around the neighborhood; until advanced medical personnel arrive on scene and take over. The course also strives to give participants the knowledge and confidence needed to overcome any reluctance had to act in an emergency.


Students will learn to care for life-threatening injuries & illnesses such as:
  • Burns   • Spinal Injuries   • Seizures
  • Bleeding   • Heat Illnesses   • Stroke
  • Shock   • Cold Injuries   • Diabetic emergencies
  • Orthopedic Injuries   • Bites & Stings   • Poisoning
  • Head Injuries   • Sudden Illness

This training program does NOT result in a Red Cross or American Heart certification.

4 - 4.5 hours
Course Tuition:
$59 per person
Certification:
Standard First Aid  (valid 2 years)
A (digital) Center for Wilderness Safety certificate is earned upon successful completion of course.
Prerequisites:
Participants MUST be at least 11 years of age.

Host a Class @ Your Location

Interested in hosting a Standard First Aid class at your location? We require a minimum of 8 students in order to sponsor a course (depending upon location); max, 20 students per class. This course is currently ONLY available in the greater Northern VA/MD/Washington DC area.
